Alexa Dow won the U16 women’s race at the 2022 BC Cross Country Championships in South Surrey on Saturday, October 22.
The Prairie Inn Harriers Youth Team member is coached by Bruce Deacon.
She wasn’t satisfied with an 11-second gap at the halfway mark of the race and decided to increase it from there. She credits a summer of good aerobic base building on her fitness.
Dow may compete at the Canadian Cross Country Championships in Ottawa, Ontario this year.
