Olympic 200m champion Letsile Tebogo is set to light up the track at the Wanda Diamond League meet in Shanghai/Keqiao on May 3. The 21-year-old sprinter will take on a world-class field over 100m. This is the event where he won the world silver medal in 2023.
Tebogo has shown his brilliance across many events in recent years. He won two world U20 titles over 100m in 2021 and 2022 before the 2024 Paris Olympic Games last summer, where he scorched to victory over 200m in an African record of 19.46. He also finished sixth in the Olympic 100m final. Tebogo set the national record of 9.86, and later anchored Botswana to silver in the 4x400m with a scorching leg of 43.04 seconds.
