Madelyn Eybergen, who runs for the University of Victoria Vikes, raced the 5000m event at the 2026 Victoria Track Classic at Centennial Stadium. She won in a time of 15:30, while aiming for exactly that time.
The performance was a 16-second personal best. That race spells the end of her outdoor track season; however, she will be competing in the Hyrox World Championships, which will take place in Stockholm, Sweden, at the Strawberry Arena from June 18 to 21, 2026
