Alexa Dow of Mill Bay, BC, about 20-minutes from Victoria, won the BC High School Cross Country Championships on Sunday.
She went in as the favourite, but left nothing to change. She was one of three Bruce Deacon-trained athletes to win a race – they went three for four. And the only race where a Prairie Inn Harrier Youth Team didn’t win Ella Ballard finished second.
Dow prepared since summer and in this video thanks her coach for getting her there. She also talked about how the race played out.
