Brandon Vail won the men’s 3,000m event at the inaugural Coffee Cup Classic in Victoria, BC at the University of Victoria’s Centennial Stadium. He also ran a new personal best time by seven seconds.

The Edmonton native is a third-year Vike and was just in his second race back from a calf injury. So was surprised by how well he performed.

He will now take the rest of the summer off of racing and prepare for cross-country season in the fall.
