Nineteen-year-old Botswanian sprinter, Letsile Tebogo, broke the under 20 world record in the 100-metre sprint finishing in 9.91 seconds.

On April 30, Tebogo broke American Trayvon Bromell’s U20 world record at the Gaborone International Meet at the National Stadium, which previously stood for eight years, when Tebogo ran 9.96 seconds.

He did it again going 0.02 of a second faster during the heats at the Eugene World Athletics Championships in July.

On Tuesday, the teenager broke his own world record once again, running that 9.91-second performance during the final of the U20 World Athletics Championships in Pascual Guerrero Stadium, Cali, Colombia.

Tebogo showboated demonstratively over the final few metres of the race waving his index finger at the second place competitor Bouwahjgie Nkrumie of Jamaica.
