Madelyn “Maddy” Bonikowsky of Nelson, BC won the 2019 U18 Canadian Cross Country Championships in Abbotsford, BC’s Clearbrook Park. She also won three weeks before, the 2019 BC Club Cross Country Championships and the BC High School Championships. The Kootenay Kaos Track and Field Club runner was also representing Team BC in the race. Formerly a field hockey player, swimmer and basketball player and Tsawassen resident will return to running during the outdoor track and field season.
