Khan competes for the University of Florida, the same school that Erriyon Knighton attends. Knighton tested positive for trenbolone, was permitted to compete in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, however, an investigation is underway regarding the United States Anti-Doping Agency allowing him to compete.
He has also run as fast as 3:55.41 indoors and sports an 800m best from March 2024 at 1:46.12.
India has the most suspended athletes due to doping out of any country aside from Russia, which has been implicated and banned in the past due to systematic doping.
